eCommerce
Czech internet retailers had combined revenues of CZK33 billion (€1.32 billion) in 2010 with only CZK3.9 billion (€156 million) in purchases made by credit card, according to studies by the Czech association for Electronic Commerce (APEK). Still, the preferred medium for payment for online purchases in the country in 2010 was cash on delivery.
Revenues of Czech online retailers for 2011 are expected to exceed the prior year's value by CZK4 billion (€161 million), with a surge of internet purchases expected over the Christmas period. - Tickets for events: 35.4% (35.7% among males / 35.1% among females); the level reached 31.2% for tickets for cultural events (cinema, theatre etc.) and 12.6% for tickets for other events (sports events etc.)
- Services related to travelling and accommodation: 25.5% (27.8% /22.9%); the level reached 13.1% for transport tickets and 11.7% for accommodation and 10.3% for other travel arrangements (car hire etc.)
